This January, Ljubno will transform into one of the most important Slovenian sport venues for the seventh year in a row. Those of us who call Ljubno our home, and who are proud of our town and its people, are well aware of the significance of this number. For the past seven years, the FIS World Cup Ski Jumping Ladies events in Ljubno have been praised as competitions of exceptional quality. Now already traditional competitions, they prove time and again how much heart, enthusiasm, and desire the people of Ljubno have to carry this sport, its competitors, and the name of their hometown into the world.
I am very proud to see the BTC Company sponsoring this event right from the start. Just like the organisers of the competition and the ski jumpers, we are also motivated by our wish to achieve higher goals and the best possible results, so we enter each season full of enthusiasm and vigour. We consider "Devilish Slovenians" and their accompanying team to be paragons – every year they manage to attract a record number of fans to Ljubno, fans who rejoice together with them with each new success story.
It is these sports enthusiasts and fans who watch and attend women's ski jumping competitions, of course along with top female athletes and their coaching staff, that contributed to this sport becoming an official Olympic discipline. This year, the girls will jump in the Olympics for the second time. We hope that the podium in Ljubno will serve them as a stepping stone to the podium in South Korea.
The number seven is famous for being a magical number. This year, as Ljubno will host the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup Ladies competition for the seventh year in a row, we wish for this number not only to bring us luck, but also magical results. Join us and live the fairy tale of Ljubno.
